Sherwood Helping Hands

Extending a helping hand to those in need of food in the Sherwood community.

What We Do

With help from the Oregon Food Bank, local donations, and volunteers Sherwood Helping Hands extends support to families in need.  We keep all information confidential.

We encourage families who may be going through a tough time due to job changes or loss of job, economy downfall or just needing a little help each month to call us.  Everyone needs a helping hand once in a while!

Helping Hands feeds an average of 80 families every month. Food is available for pick-up by the families on the 3rd Saturday of each month.

Helping Hands Supplies Local Families In Need With:

• Fresh Dairy Products
• Eggs
• Fresh Meat Products
• Fresh Produce
• Bread
• Cereal
• Canned Fruits and Vegetables
• Soups

Backpack Program Needs:

Small items kid -friendly, easy to prepare and plastic not glass containers.

• Tuna fish
• Spaghettios (canned meals)
• Real Fruit Juice (box)
• Jelly
• Peanut Butter
• Mayo
• Mac & Cheese
• Cereal
• Pop Tarts
• Crackers
• Soup
• Fruit cups
• Granola Bars
• Pudding cups

• Trail Mix
• Cup of Noodle/Top Ramen

Food Box Pick-up:

We will now be open every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30am to 12:30pm on an Emergency Basis and on the 3rd Saturday of each month from 9:30am to 11:30am as our regular monthly feeding.

Families:

You will be able to pick-up your food at the Sherwood United Methodist Church located at 22280 SW Washington Street, across from Stella Olson Park.
